What is the working title of your site?

Designers Bar, Creative Lounge

What is the topic of your site?

This website will be the start up and the foundation for an ongoing on growing online community. The website will offer helpful solutions and resources for every day design elements. Each month the website will be updated with new content showcasing the talents and arts of other students and design enthusiast. The web site will be broken down in 5 parts:

Home-

- This will show a briefing and summery for each section of the website.

Gallery-

Each week a selected design will be showcased, this will hold the artist info and any necessary links to route viewers to gallery artist portfolios. The gallery will also have a submit your design, so viewers can participate in showing projects and other works.

Creative Directory-

This section will be broken into 4 different parts:

-Photoshop-
• Deconstruct this... This will be a section where industry used designs and other Image manipulated works will be displayed with the question of Deconstruct this… The viewer will be able to attempt to recreate the selected works and break them down into tutorial steps. This content can be submitted or will be hand selected. The viewers will be challenged and have a chance to test their Image manipulation knowledge.
• This section will also hold Photoshop resources any other information.
-CSS-
This page will be dedicated to a CSS gallery, where users can submit web design and view some of the top pages each week
• TEMPLATES SUBMIT- Users will be able to showcase CSS templates and sell them. This will be made up by user submissions, although my site will not hold or contain any templates, it will be used as a primary source for rerouting viewers to the according sites. This will free for a short amount of time…
• This section will also hold other CSS and XHTML resources and links. This page will be a huge route site for the SWAP site.

Tutorials-

This page will hold THE TUTORIAL OF THE WEEK, Anything from Photoshop to How to make a flash banner. This page will have hand selected or submitted tutorials. With this page I will contain a database of tutorial Information. Some tutorials may be referred links or submitted by users. All tutorials will have an RSS feed and a DIGG button, for constant user information flow.

Review-

This will be an open discussion forum on all information displayed on website. Each page will have a blog post for each topic. Users then will be able to discuss information using comments and refer links.

Who is your target audience and how do you know that?

My target audience will be students and other design enthusiast. One main function of my website will be devoted to showcasing design talents and works by fellow colleagues and designers. My website will be the beginning of an online community.

How do you plan to attract your target audience?

My website will be search engine optimized. I plan to use a blogging system to be easily identified by search engines and other blog users. Also by using a blog system users will easily be able to find my page by searching and using site referrals.
With each article for each creative system, I plan to use digg as one huge referring system. I plan to attract possible student artist via a bulletin post on the Transfer drive. Also word of mouth, All advertisement will be referrals from other websites and other web communities. I hope to also gain referrals from other colleagues and students.
